Fine Line
Hair-thin single-needle work. Small florals, script, linework portraits, delicate ornamental pieces.
Fine line, traditional and custom tattoo work from a private home studio in Leederville. By consultation only — every piece drawn for the person carrying it.
A short list. I’d rather do a few things well than everything at half.
Hair-thin single-needle work. Small florals, script, linework portraits, delicate ornamental pieces.
Bold outlines, classic Americana iconography — swallows, moths, daggers, snakes — in a soft, aged palette.
From conversation to sketch to skin. Priced per sitting once we’ve mapped placement and size together.
In-studio design session — references, placement, stencil mock-up. Credited toward the tattoo when booked.
Older pieces, script regrets, muddy colour work — reimagined into something considered. Always a chat first.
A small pre-drawn flash sheet released twice a year. First-come, one tattoo per person. Announced on Instagram.
All bookings require a paid 30-minute in-studio consultation. Deposits are non-refundable and credited toward the first sitting.
Pale Moth is the private practice of Juno Ó Riain — seven years tattooing, the last three in her own quiet home studio off Oxford Street. No walk-ins, no shared room, no loud flash day. Every client is the only client in the room that day. Work spans delicate fine line, traditional Americana with a soft palette, and fully bespoke commissions built out of a first-sit conversation and a set of reference sketches.
“Juno took the scribble I emailed her and turned it into something I genuinely stop and look at in the mirror. The studio itself feels like a tiny ritual — candles, records, a pot of tea.”
“She covered up a piece I'd had since I was 19 and hated for a decade. First consult I actually felt listened to. Final result is honestly better than the original was ever going to be.”
“I'm a collector — I've sat with a lot of artists. Juno's line work is some of the cleanest I've got and the home-studio pace is something I didn't know I needed until I had it.”
Enquiries are read personally. I reply within a few days either way — yes, with next steps; no, always with a short note on why.
