See who AI recommends instead of you.
Tell us your business and where your customers are. We ask ChatGPT the questions your customers actually ask, several times over, then send you a one-page breakdown: do you appear, who gets named instead, and the top gaps. Free, and no pitch unless you want one.
The free check samples ChatGPT, the assistant most of your customers use. Paid plans track Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity as well.

What the check actually does
The check asks an AI assistant the question your customers ask, several times over, and records whether it names your business. It takes about a minute and costs nothing. Here is each step, so you know exactly what you are getting before you enter an email address.
You tell us the service and the suburb
Not your business name. We need the words a customer would use, for example "small business accountant" and "Mount Lawley", because that is what they type into the assistant.
We ask the assistant, repeatedly
We run the customer-style query several times rather than once. AI answers vary between runs, so a single ask tells you almost nothing. Sampling repeatedly is what turns an anecdote into a rate.
We score whether you were named
We record how many runs named your business, and which businesses got named in your place. Being absent is useful information, and so is knowing exactly who is taking the recommendation.
You get a one-page breakdown
Whether you appear, who appears instead, and the specific gaps most likely to be causing it. Sent by email, free, and we do not add you to a list.
Why being absent matters
When someone asks an assistant for the best plumber, accountant or physio in their area, they do not get ten blue links to compare. They get three or four names and usually pick one. There is no second page to be on. If you are not in that handful, you are not in the running, and unlike a Google ranking there is no public scoreboard telling you so. That is the whole reason this check exists: most businesses have simply never looked.
One honest caveat. AI answers vary between users and sessions, so no tool, ours included, can hand you a fixed ranking. We sample several runs and report a rate, and we tell you the date it was taken. Treat anyone selling a guaranteed AI citation with suspicion.
Common questions
- Is the AI Visibility Check actually free?
- Yes. There is no cost, no card, and no obligation. We run the check, email you the result, and that is the end of it unless you ask us for help. We built it because most businesses have never once checked whether AI recommends them.
- Which AI assistants does the free check use?
- The free check samples ChatGPT, which is the assistant the largest share of customers use. Our paid plans track Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity as well, because a business can be visible on one and invisible on another.
- How long does the check take?
- About a minute. We run the query several times rather than once, so it is slower than a single search. The result shows on screen when it finishes, and we email the same report either way in case you close the tab.
- Why does the result change if I run it again?
- Because AI answers genuinely vary by user, session and phrasing. That is why we sample several runs and report a rate rather than a yes or no. Treat your result as a snapshot taken on the day, not a fixed ranking. Anyone presenting AI visibility as a single stable number is overstating what the technology does.
- Do I need a website to be recommended by AI?
- It helps, but it is not the whole story. Assistants lean heavily on your Google Business Profile and Bing Places listings, genuine reviews, and whether your business details agree across the web. Plenty of businesses with a decent website are still invisible because that layer is incomplete.
- What happens to the details I submit?
- We use them to run your check and email your report. We do not sell or share them, and we do not add you to a marketing list. Full detail is in our privacy policy.
Already know you are invisible?
The check measures the problem. Clearway Found is the work that fixes it: the listings, reviews and business details AI assistants actually read, tracked every month.
